Excellent. Meanwhile, in my local src tree I partially reverted
the changes in version 1.1004 of pcidevs and built a new
LOCKDEBUG.MP kernel, i.e. GENERIC.MP with the LOCKDEBUG option.
The result kernel boots fine. So the (original) "attaching tsp1"
 problem is certainly gone.
