System: NetBSD gunnel.gson.org GENERIC i386
Architecture: i386
Machine: i386
>Description:
When I boot a NetBSD-current GENERIC kernel (CVS source date
2009.09.13.05.17.37) on a NEC Versa DayLite laptop by typing "reboot"
in a running NetBSD system and then typing the kernel file name at the
boot prompt, it hangs after printing the line
acpi0 at mainbus0: Intel ACPICA 20090730
A NetBSD 4.99.34 kernel (CVS source date 2007.10.17.19.55.31) behaves
similarly, hanging after printing the lines
acpi0 at mainbus0: Advanced Configuration and Power Interface
ACPI-Safe 32-bit timer
When I do cold boots (booting from power-up), the kernels do not
hang.
