>Organization:
>Environment:
Can not install NetBSD
>Description:
I am running VirtualBox (from Sun) in an Intel Mac OS X. I have tried all
possible configurations.

With software emulation, it systematically fails because of write failures to
the virtual hard disk. There are web pages pointing at a possible bug in the
ACPI implementation, but deactivating it in VirtualBox does not help, neither
does deactivating it in NetBSD.

The worst problem arises when using Intel VT-x virtualization. In this case
NetBSD refuses to boot from the installation cd.

These problems do not arise with any other operating system: FreeBSD, OpenBSD,
Linux, Windows...
>How-To-Repeat:
- Install Virtualbox in an Apple Mac OS X 10.5, Intel processor.
- Set up a virtual machine for NetBSD, with VT-x activated, no ACPI, rest
following default configuration.
- Attach the latest i386cd-4.0.1.iso as bootable device to this machine.
- Start.
- NetBSD prints a single line and does not boot.
