calling 'reboot' or 'reboot(0x104)' from gdb after a panic or
trap doesn't work: the kernel says "rebooting" but nothing more
happen. Using 0x8 doesn't drop the system to srm as expected neither.

have an alpha panic. try to reboot from serial console.
