Using xf86-video-ati and switching between X and console causes
console to get dimmer each time.  After 3 to 4 switches, the text
is indistinguishable from the black background.
>How-To-Repeat:
On system with Radeon GPU, use xf86-video-ati (from xsrc or pkgsrc),
try any action that results in going back to VGA text mode. Repeat
until console is unreadable.
