 In /etc/rc.local put ...
 
        dmesg > /var/tmp/dmesg.`date +%Y-%m-%d-%H-%M-%S`
        sync; sync
        sleep 10
        sync; sync
 
 Then in /var/tmp you chould get to keep a copy of the dmesg
 output from every boot, whether you can login that time, or not.
 
 When you are able to login you can select one of the failure cases to
 send.
