 I no longer experience this problem on NetBSD 5.0_BETA. I still get this 
 error message when I assign an address to the interface:
    cdce0: cannot assign link-local address
 but then it seems to work (pings get through).
 
 I suppose it still doesn't work with 4.0 though, and I don't know when I 
 will be able to test this yet.
