of course you folks know flash doesn't quite work in the browsers, put some of 
that wasabi magic to work on adobe and get them to release something we can all 
use.  
otherwise yes 4.0 is faster, but im going back to 3.1, less skittish

login as root add some users.  logout as root, login as a new user.  config the 
user environment log out.  reboot login as root, no xresources, just an x 
screen with no WM (not even twm) backout of login, console message xresources 
not available, config blah blah not found refused at display:0 all that
