Re: It appears the terminal bell doesn't work with our definition of wsvt25?, is that right?
hello. Thanks for the feedback. There must be something else going on that I'm missing.
If I set TERM to vt100, or use other terminal types, the bell works. I have the wsbell module
loaded. Just to confirm, I logged into ttyE1, which has TERM set to wsvt25 and ran vi.
Hitting the escape key made no sound. Then, without changing the terminal type, I ran
window(1) which creates multiple windows for me using the TERM window-v2. Now, if I run vi and
press on the escape key, I hear a bell. So, that tells me the bell works, wsbell is
functioning and it's something with respect to the terminfo database.
I'm running with terminfo:
# Revision: 1.1083
# Date: 2023/12/09 18:07:12
#
which appears to be the latest in our source tree.
So,I guess I'll keep looking to see what might be going wrong.
-thanks
