AMD Radeon GPU recommendations?

Can anyone recommend a good AMD Radeon GPU for use with NetBSD 11.99.x?

I recently upgraded from 10.99.x to 11.99.1 and I'm having performance
problems with my AMD Radeon R9 290. On the off-chance that I can't
resolve these problems I would like to get some recommendations for a
possible replacement GPU.

As far as I can tell, the Radeon RX 6900 XT that I have is too new and
doesn't seem to be matched by the AMDGPU driver.
