Thanks.  Alas, I didn't build a debug kernel, but will now (although it
won't exactly match since I've updated sources again).

Loading with the currently-available images results in:

(gdb) bt
#0  <unavailable> in ?? ()
Backtrace stopped: not enough registers or memory available to unwind further

I suppose I'll have to see about running 'gdb' on a heftier machine.
