Does this still happen with the latest -current?  Do you use DEBUG,
DIAGNOSTIC and LOCKDEBUG kernel?  Were you able to reproduce the
problem by starting the workload on X e.g. remotely, and thus trying
to get into DDB from the console?  Try 'call ddb_vgapost' as well.
