Re: no keyboard input visible with xsrc X11 on i386 -current?

Hello Kevin,

just for my curiosity. Is suspend/resume working on that Thinkpad? I have the same mode but I used amd64 with no luck for suspend.

Thank you.

I'm running i386 -current (as of March 28, 2011) on a Lenovo ThinkPad
T61.  I just rebuilt the xsrc X11, and it comes up beautifully,
generating a configuration file with no problem, with all the graphics
looking great.

Unfortunately, pressing keys on the keyboard fails to produce any
input.  Running xev(1), I can definitely see the keycodes as I
type, but they never show up in any of the xterms or other applications.

Does anybody have any suggestions?  I've attached my dmesg, Xorg.0.log,
the output from startx.  I'm a little perplexed that X claims to have
been rebuilt in November, 2010, even when I'm executing the server by
hand that has a timestamp of today.  I presume that this reflects the
import date?

The xkb complaints seem like an obvious cause for problems, but it
isn't clear to me how to fix it, or, given the xev(1) output, that this
is the issue.

(Oh, yeah, the modular X11 from pkgsrc comes up with a blank screen,
so that's not an option.)

Thanks,

Kevin
