I commented the line wsmoused=YES to #wsmoused=YES, Rebooted the
machine. But still the mouse is not functional.

I would also like to bring to the notice the dmesg log which I had
attached. The following lines seem to be of interest.

As Quoted form the dmesg log

pckbd0 at pckbc1 (kbd slot)
pckbc1: using irq 1 for kbd slot
wskbd0 at pckbd0 mux 1
pms0 at pckbc1 (aux slot)
pckbc1: using irq 12 for aux slot
wsmouse0 at pms0 mux 0

Could the wsmouse0 at pms0 mux 0 need special kernel configuration,
since given below is the line which I think is an conflict.

pckbd0 at pckbc1 (kbd slot)
pckbc1: using irq 1 for kbd slot
wskbd0 at pckbd0 mux 1
pms0 at pckbc1 (aux slot)

The last line above with the wsmouse0 given below.

wsmouse0 at pms0 mux 0
