  Yup, it does seem to work.  fstat shows many internet and internet6 sockets, 
and a route socket.

  Well, I must admit, I've never even verified that ntpd doesn't work.  Just 
that I get those error messages on console.  :-)

  I can confirm that I don't see the errors when I stop and restart ntpd.  Ooh, 
interesting, the fstat output changed:

  Notice that the 'route' is now the last, and the internet6 udp socket on the 
routable address is earlier in the list.
