nsdispatch capability

I'm having a problem with getting a program to run that is doing host
lookups.

It's written in C++, and when I run it, it tries to reference
"nss_dns.so.0" unsuccessfully.

According to the nsdispatch man page, it attempts to load that library,
but the runtime can't seem to successfully locate the file.  Where is
it, and how do I fix the problem?
