Can confirm that a current kernel running on a netbsd-7 Thinkpad T420s
runs accelerated X without any apparent issues. (netbsd-7 kernel on
same system shows the corrupted images when acceleration enabled)

Chipset identified as Integrated Graphics Chipset: Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000

Much kudos from a happy Thinkpad :)
