No NetWM/extended window manager hint support.  If we're going to bother
updating the default wm, I think that proper interaction with modern X
programs should be a requirement.  golem fails on this front as well.

Sub-optimal licensing as well.

I'm having a look at cwm just now.  It uses an ISC license, which is fine.  It also has some traction elsewhere in the BSD community, also good.  The code is clean and simple.  There might be a problem in the design though, it's a keyboard oriented wm, which is great for folks like me, but maybe not mainstream enough for the default landing zone.
