Re: Xorg crashes and computer reboots

Hi,

I tried a 32 bit kernel, too. But there is the same result... Maybe a problem with the motherboard? I have problems with the integrated raid- controller, either!

Greetings,
Helge

I have a similar problem with my HP a6750t with a ATI RadeonHD 4850 also running 5.0 branch code and an amd64 kernel; I can start X once per boot, and on the second invocation it either hangs with a corrupted picture like
you get, or displays a corrupted screen and then reboots like yours.

However, on the 1st invocation of X since bootup, it works fine.

No solution, but at least something to check.. The other thing that
might be worth trying is if it works any better running an i386 (vs.
amd64) kernel, as I haven't tried that yet.
