We're not in the same situation: bluetooth is about migrating from the
old rcvar variables to the "bluetooth" one. Mine is about keeping the
same variable, but enable it on a per-arch basis.

In addition (from you): keep the same setting in case the user
explicitly added a powerd configuration to /etc/rc.conf, and stay quiet
on this issue.

Quite frankly, I am more and more convinced that an additional
/etc/defaults/rc.md.conf is the right fix then. This one could be
included from /etc/defaults/rc.conf, apply some MD-specific changes, and
still let the user override the value in /etc/rc.conf if he wants to.
