The old termcap(5) man page contained infomation about the file format
in general, and specific information about the meanings of the termcap
capabilities.

The file format should be documented somewhere; perhaps close to
cap_mkdb(1) or getcap(3).

The information about terminals and termcap should be merged into
terminfo(5).  For example, the current terminfo(5) mentions the
syntax but not the meaning of a delay parameter, while the old
termcap(5) explained the meaning in reasonable detail.
