I disagree.  In general the willynilly MKFOO options just add build
failures, but here more than usual we should consider what the proposed
used cases are -- MKLUA as a concept is as absurd as MKAWK, MKSH or MKSED.
(if it's not, i've been listening to the lua marketing department
too much)
