Clearly there is insufficient support, so I will not pursue this
suggestion.

I agree with criticism that links is large and not actively maintained,
but I do not know of a better alternative.

Nevertheless, I think that there is an obvious gap in the base system
for an application that is capable of downloading and rendering simple
HTML documents in a text-only environment.  This would be useful for
reading documentation that is delivered with the base system, for
browsing on-line documentation that explains how to upgrade NetBSD or
how to install software from pkgsrc, and for browsing reports related
to recent auto builds.  It would also be useful, to some people, for
browsing non-NetBSD-related information on the web.
