I know three kinds of vi users.

- The kind that reads a help sheet and is familiar with the basic
  commands in an hour.

- The kind that tries to use it like the Windows editor and fails
miserably and always insists to use cursor keys on slow terminals
even when told that vi has a problem with this. Then they wonder
  why ini-syntax doesn't work in rc.conf.

- The kind that got told that you have to hit ESC to start a command,
curses about the beeps and that you have to try things thrice before
it gives the result you want. That's the one with the steepest
  learning curve.

- And then there are vim users that can read yellow text on white background.
