Actually.. on AIX.. they have an interesting way of dealing with this..

if you type ps aux (no -) you get BSD functionality
if you type ps -ef you get sysV.

It would be nice.. if something like -ef just worked..  you don't know how many
times I accidentally type "-ef" followed by "grrr"  ;)

(just to be clear.. I hate -ef.. but I get in the habit of typing it at work)
