The pkgsrc developers are proud to announce pkgsrc-2026Q3 -- the 92nd
quarterly release of pkgsrc, the cross-platform packaging system.
pkgsrc contains over 29,000 packages. More information on pkgsrc
is available at https://www.pkgsrc.org/.

Since the last release (2026Q2), 142 packages were added, 3227 were
updated (1918 distinct; 49 Go, 3 OCaml, 131 Perl, 17 PHP, 927 Python,
232 Ruby), and 63 packages were removed. These numbers are mostly in
line with previous quarters.

Notable package additions were:
 - Zork-I, II and III
 - mergiraf, a syntax-aware merge tool

Notable package updates were:
 - a big update of Terraform and Opentofu packages
 - Firefox 154
 - php-nextcloud 33.0.8
 - GCC 16
 - Go 1.27 as default version
 - Perl 5.44.0
 - PHP 8.2.33, 8.3.33, 8.4.25, 8.5.10
 - Python 3.10.21, 3.12.13, 3.13.15, 3.14.7
 - Ruby 3.3.12, 3.4.10, 4.0.7

instructions. The branch name for the 2026Q3 branch is "pkgsrc-2026Q3".
