Yes, you are right,
(by the way, I've added wip/R-vroom)

The reason for tool, is that when REPLACE_R runs at configure time
(with my patch) it will replace bin/env part to VARIABLE ${R}.
For the moment it is empty.  Variable ${PERL5} is /usr/pkg/bin/perl in my case.
