R packages

I have updated all the R packages to current versions.  They all build on my Macbook, but please let me know if there are any problems.

In the process I have also brought them all into line with the canonical form of an R package.  This should make future updates much easier, especially when using pkgtools/R2pkg.  Please help to keep these up to date and create new R packages in the standard form.
