I guess that most people who use NetBSD-current also run
pkgsrc-current, which is why I preferred your changes to be committed
right after the branch instead of before.

I think the problem has now been discussed widely enough that the
actively working users you are talking about know about using your
patch in the meantime, or can find out about it easily enough.
