easy way to know custom options were used?

Any easy way to look at package meta data to know if any custom options 
were used?

Without having access to pkgsrc source, which wouldn't help anyways 
since you'd need the same pkgsrc used at time of binary package 
creation.

If not, any ideas on how we could flag this? Maybe record the default 
options also, like:
_BUILD_DEFS+=   PKG_SUGGESTED_OPTIONS
