f2c-f77 file, when installed reads:
eval "\$CC $CFLAGS -o \$OUTF -u MAIN__ $OFILES $LIBS $FLIBS"
Why do we enforce that MAIN__ at all??
For historical reasons?
Why was it introduced at all and why do we keep it now?
I'd like to kill it, because maintaining it simply wastes the time.
If we are to keep it, could we invent some better way to procede
than patching each package linking to BLAS or LAPACK?
