If I understand it right (your email was hard to parse), you made wd3d
part of a raid-1, partitionned and newfs'd a partition of this raid-1,
and then expect to be able to mount wd3d as plain ffs ?
that won't work; wd3d has the raidframe metadata, not something that can
be used directly.

You may be able to mount it by creating a partition on wd3 which skips
the raidframe metadata and whatever partition table there was on
the raid-1, and points to the start of the ffs filesystem.
