Yes, in netbsd-6 and HEAD you can detach/reattach devices using drvctl
(e.g. drvctl -d wd0; drvctl -r -a ata_hl atabus0). This works with
port multipliers too.
It looks like support for this in in netbsd-5 too (maybe not in earlier
netbsd-5)
