Whereas in my head, I constructed:

/netbsd/kernel
/netbsd/modules/...
/onetbsd/kernel
/onetbsd/modules/...

boot /netbsd
boot /onetbsd

If the bootloader finds a file, it boots the file. If it finds a  
directory, it boots the file named 'kernel' in the directory.
