Please no. I make frequent use of that functionality when porting to a new machine. It also makes my life much easier to just ask a user for a dmesg, and
have the descriptions right there.

Additionally, as a user, I like to see that stuff come across the screen when
booting.  I know instantly if something is not right.

Presumably these machines boot slowly. On x86 it all goes by so fast there
is no time to sit back and enjoy the green text dmesg pr0n. 8-)

Nothing to do with slow or fast CPUs but everything with with a serial console vs. VGA text mode ;)
