Information in back of mind corrected; thanks.

although I note that opengroup.org says the length constant is
PASS_MAX, and it looks like we do define that, even though it's not
listed in getpass(3). Is there any reason we document _PASSWORD_LEN
instead? CVS history suggests "not particularly"...
