Correct the definition of the :? modifier - in particular the modifier
applies to the variable name, not its value!
Remove the set of examples that were recently added that failed to
explain why some worked and some didn't.
Add a not to the compatability section about the change in .for loop
substitution post 5.0.
Add a BUGS section.
XXX the BUGS section needs more entries :-)
