I'm not confusing anything.

I'm OBJECTING to using envsys (which is for environmental monitoring /  
sensors) and powerd (which is for acting on power management events  
[possibly triggered by environmental sensor input, e.g. CPU getting  
too hot]) for monitoring RAID status.
