Uh, 'INSECURE' is only an issue for the latter; the former should work
fine without INSECURE, because it can use a reasonable device
interface.

Uh, one sysctl in rc.local would have the same effect as 'options
INSECURE', for the class of people who need it.

Can you have multiple ISA/EISA busses in an Alpha?  That means that
there're multiple "I/O port 60"s, eh?
