Perhaps.  One thing that I did along the way was fix the order of the
network interface scripts with

     auto_ifconfig=no
     net_interfaces="fxp0 tap0 bridge0"

in rc.conf.  Otherwise, I think bridge0 was handled before tap0, which
resulted in an error.  However, I have tried many things in the
interim, so I'm not certain that this was the problem.
