XEN: Best use of new Intel Core 2 Duo VT hardware - Desktop?

Hi,

I got a brand new Intel Core 2 Duo (E8500) with VT virtualization hardware,
4 GB memory, and approx. 450 GB disk and two network cards which I want to
use with XEN.
It comes with next day hardware support.

What is the best use of it with NetBSD in a Xen context:

1.
Make this machine a XEN0PAE with X and a (very) small window manager?
I could spend e.g. 512 MB or even less for that XEN0). All the others would
be XENU and be displayed in Xvnc windows?

2.
Make this machine a pure XEN0PAE with Xvnc and no graphical head and use
one of the older (see below) machines as desktop.

3.
Other suggestions? What about 32bit vs 64bit?

Additional hardware info:

I have two other (older) physical machines. One of it (2 GB) is running a
Debian Linux fvwm desktop at the moment, the other (512 MB!) is NetBSD and
running couple of Xen virtual machines for (small) server purposes (NetBSD
repository for -current build and release, a VM for DSL connection to the
Internet, a few others for occasional testing).
These older machines are 3 resp. 5 years old - so I am afraid they may die a
sudden hardware death sometime in the near future.

Main applications at the moment:

I use Firefox (excessivly with lots of tabs) for Web and Thunderbird for Mail
and a lot of xterms for command line connections to other sites.
I run a local IMAP server for about 10,000 mails and an IMAP connection to a
remote IMAP server with about 100,000 mails.
A NFS server is needed for saving of large files (usually one time a day 2 GB).

Sometimes the use of ProjectX (i.e. Java), and mplex, and vlc for
(non-excessive)
video editing and viewing would be needed.

All this is done at the moment in the Debian machine as a desktop.

Future plans include a new Windows XP VM for special purposes (e.g. with memory
0,5 to 1 GB).

Any recommendations?
Or questions, which I have not answered yet :-)

TIA,

Andreas

BTW: With NetBSD 5.0 this new machine panics without "No ACPI" on boot :-(
