Thanks for the correction - I have a working dom0 amd.

I'm trying to set up a domu i386 - the kernels netbsd-INSTALL_XEN3_DOMU.gz
  from NetBSD-daily/HEAD/.../i386/... appears to be 3.0 kernel
I get ... guest type xen-3.0-x86_32 not supported by xen kernel, sorry

Is it that xen-3.3 needs to have a 3.3 guest kernel or that amd64 xen dom0
do not support i386 guests?

If it needs a xen-3.3 i386 guest kernel is there one available or do I 
have to build it?
