None of the docs I have go into any kind of detail on the case's  
mechanics.
What you're looking for ( or rather, what I think comes closest ) is

( I did only minor surgery on mine in order to get a bigger harddisk )
The case looks a lot like some 1990s era Thinkpad, the keyboard is a  
Thinkpad part. These were probably a little more common than SPARCbooks.
