No.  On the Alpha, the "console" is an architecture feature that is meant to be 
analogous to the "console processor" of the original VAX systems (that had a 
PDP-11 sitting in front of them to handle things like bootstrap).  It has 
nothing to do with NetBSD's notion of the default terminal.
