Wonderful! Thank you very much for this work.

I droped pdq.c and pdqreg.h from -current into my 1.6 source,
recompiled, ... and now it works on my (from dmesg.boot)

First I had some minor problems getting the link up. Lots of 
fpa0: Unsolicited Event: Phy Port: Elasticy Buffer Error 
Looked like the Alpha couldn't get the link up. After a bit fiddling
with the cableing it run well. I got 3 MB / s by ftp-ing xsrc.tgz from
disk to disk from and to my Alpha PWS 500au running Tru64 5.1. 

Now I have to get an other DEFPA as there is a Sun Ultra5 board on the
way to me. :-)
