However, from what I've read these machines often show all kinds of
strange errors when simply the NVRAM battery is dead. Replacing the
hopefully socketed DS1287 (or whatever it is) or its battery seemed to
help in other cases. Could be worth a try after trying out other
obvious things (pull all TC boards as mentioned, try a minimal
*working* RAM setup).
