Re: NetBSD under VM - ntpd doesn't do the job
Cool. I don't know anything about this. What choices do I have
The man page "man 7 sysctl" doesn't help much, but the TSC on a VM
would clearly be a poor way to tell time.
Is there a better option (and is it supported and working?)
I just installed an ntpdate kludge tonight.
Thanks for your help,
+smile$ sysctl kern.timecounter
kern.timecounter.choice = TSC(q=3000, f=2492657670 Hz) clockinterrupt(q=0,
f=100 Hz) piixpm0(q=1000, f=3579545 Hz) hpet0(q=2000, f=14318180 Hz)
ACPI-Fast(q=1000, f=3579545 Hz) lapic(q=-100, f=66122044 Hz) i8254(q=100,
f=1193182 Hz) dummy(q=-1000000, f=1000000 Hz)
kern.timecounter.hardware = TSC
kern.timecounter.timestepwarnings = 0
