Another Update: I looked back in the MacPPC NetBSD list, and was reminded of an issue discussed under the subject: "powersave and ping times - 1.6.2". (March, 2005) This may or may not be relevant, but is specific to the 7455, and my hangs may well be a symptom of "lost" interrupts. -dgl-
