CD-ROM regression?

I was pretty pleased back on 25 Sep 2006 that I could boot my PowerBook
from the CD-ROM by typing 'boot cd:ofwboot.xcf netbsd.macppc' at the
OpenFirmware prompt. :-) I noticed on Friday that the ISO9660 image built
for macppc by 'build.sh iso-image' is not bootable on a G4 PowerBook,
because the bootloader and kernel do not reside in the root directory
any longer, and OF on the PowerBook does not seem to grok non-root
directories.  Perhaps there should be some macppc-specific CDEXTRAS that
install those files in the root?
