Hello,

I created a bootable cd with the macppc image for my G3 400 mac and installed netbsd. I chose the entire disk as I do not want to dual boot but only run netbsd. Also I forgot to make the partition to dump the ofwboot.xcf file into, but I thought I could still boot with the cd image but I can't seem to. Here are the commands I tried :

boot cd:,/ofwboot.xcf hd:3,/netbsd
boot cd:,/ofwboot.xcf hd:3,/netbsd.macppc
and hd0, hd1,hd2, hd3 is there anyway to figure it installed so I can bootstrap it. During the install it said it was installing in wd0 after the mbr. I looked at wd0 after the install and it seemed to think it was there but can't seem to load it.

This should work, I remember having to boot a 1st generation iMac like that. Are you sure it's partition 3? Also, does ofwboot.xcf load or does it just not find the kernel?

have fun
Michael
